                                                                Michael Sirotkin

Michael Sirotkin, Esq, has served as COVE’s legislative advocate for over thirty years and has been instrumental in passing many pieces of nation leading legislation, including  prohibition on medicare balance billing, family leave, mental health parity and the establishment of Vermont’s pharmaceutical assistance,   health care ombudsman and medicare advocacy programs.   He graduated from the  Wharton School of the University fo Pennsylvania and received his law degree from the University of  Denver in 1976. He was co director of the Vermont Senior Citizens law Project of Vermont Legal Aid before becoming partner in the law firm of Mickenberg, Dunn , Sirotkin and Kupersmith. In 1998 he established the Governmental Affairs law firm of Sirotkin and Necrason in Montpelier where he represents many non profits and private sector clients, including COVE. Michael has served on numerous boards and commissions and currently serves on the South Burlington Development Review Board  and the state’s Medicaid Advisory Board. He lives with his wife Sally Fox and they have two grown sons, Jacob and Jesse.
