COVE has organized several Legislative Trainings and Forums during October and November and we are inviting you to participate in any of the free trainings and forums listed below. Please extend this invitation to your family, friends, caregivers and others who might be interested in joining us.
The Purpose of Legislative Trainings & Forums
Legislative Trainings will help you understand:
* the functions of the three branches of government;
* current issues and interests;
* who is representing you in your district; and,
* how to speak to your Legislators and Senators
Forums provide an opportunity:
* to listen to and learn about area representation; and,
* to speak candidly about issues and interests that are important.
These events are free and open to the public. All Legislative Trainings will be led by the COVE Executive Director, Gini Milkey. Forums will be led by COVE Staff and Board Members and other partners within the senior network.
