COVE (The Community of Vermont Elders) hopes your organization will join us in our mission to work for the dignity, security and well being of Vermont’s Senior Citizens. For more than 30 years we have advocated and educated about issues affecting Vermont seniors and we pride ourselves on developing a legislative agenda gleaned from our constituent’s concerns. We provide a daily presence at the State House during the Legislative Session and monitor all bills directly affecting our organizational and individual members’ concerns. COVE successfully completed work on a Mental Health grant by providing educational workshops throughout Vermont on Substance Abuse, Dementia, Depression and Medication Mismanagement; a grant by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Atlantic Philanthropies to improve long-term care by addressing the training and support needs of direct care workers; we have also worked to reduce elder abuse and exploitation. Currently COVE is working with the Administration on Aging to educate Vermonters about Medicare errors and wasteWe locate projects that are well-suited to the needs and ideals of Vermont seniors.To support our efforts, please print and complete the membership invoice below.
