What services do you need?
Are you in trouble?
Are you experiencing an emergency? If your safety or health is in danger, it is critical you call or text 9-1-1 to reach an emergency services dispatcher. It’s the most efficient way to get in touch with police, fire, or emergency medical services.
Only send a text message if a voice call is not possible.
One-on-one advocacy
Do you have a challenge that doesn’t reach the level of an emergency? COVE staff member Marichel Vaught is the only advocate in the state of Vermont who focuses exclusively on the needs of older individuals. Some of the issues she helps people with include:
Housing
Isolation
Fraud and scams
Service and care needs
Financial stress

Group Education
Community of Vermont Elders presents dozens of free group education programs each year on topics related to aging successfully, including ageism, financial management, common scams, health care, and Medicare fraud, errors and abuse.
Often, these are presented in community centers and include games, handouts, and opportunities for participants to learn about COVE’s advocacy work. We also offer workshops for businesses and organizations.
