Michael Benvenuto

Michael Benvenuto is the project director of the Senior Citizens Law Project of Vermont Legal Aid. The SCLP represents seniors across Vermont in a wide range of legal problems and topics, including health care, housing, consumer law, public benefits, and guardianship. In addition to supervising the attorneys in the SCLP, he is also the director of the Medicare Advocacy Project, which handles Medicare appeals, primarily for home health services. He started at Vermont Legal Aid as a staff attorney in 1992, after graduating from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to becoming SCLP director in 2003, he focused on family law and domestic violence cases. He currently resides in Jericho, and works in the Burlington office of VLA.
